N3Pharma awards IncBio contract for transesterification unit
Porto, Portugal – April 12th, 2012: Incbio, a leading company in design, build and startup of biodiesel plants with state-of-the-art ultrasonic reactor technology, has been awarded a contract to supply a turnkey transesterification unit for N3Pharma AS, a leading Norwegian pharmaceutical and nutraceutical company.
Designed to transesterify a total capacity of 10,000 metric tons per year of fish oil with ethanol (ethylation), the plant will be fully built with food-grade materials and components, and include excess ethanol recovery.
Once built, the plant will be installed and operated in Tromso, Norway, 350 kilometers inside the Arctic Circle. The award of this contract to Incbio is the result of a competitive tendering process, and the company was selected because of its advanced technology and expertise, as well as for highly competitive commercial terms.
Incbio is a brand owned by Incalculável, which started life in Portugal with the production of domestic and small-scale commercial biodiesel processors. Having since grown to become the largest biodiesel equipment provider in the country, since 2008 it started working on the construction of large-scale biodiesel equipment, with ultrasonic reactors, pioneering equipment revolutionizing the biodiesel industry.
From design, engineering, consultancy and construction, Incbio is able to assist clients in as little or as much as they require. From retrofitting of existing units with state-of-the-art ultrasonic or multifeedstock technology to design, manufacture and startup of complete industrial units, Incbio is ideally placed to turn a bioproject into reality.
