IncBio Successfully Delivers Transesterification Plant for Omega-3 Production
Porto, Portugal – March 29th, 2013: IncBio, a leading company in the design, construction, and startup of biodiesel plants using state-of-the-art ultrasonic reactor technology, has successfully delivered a turnkey transesterification plant to Nordic Pharma Inc AS (previously called N3Pharma AS), a prominent Norwegian pharmaceutical and nutraceutical company.
The plant, with a capacity to transesterify 10,000 metric tons of fish oil per year using ethanol (ethylation), is specifically designed for Omega-3 fatty acid production. The facility was constructed using food-grade materials and components, ensuring compliance with the highest industry standards. It also includes an advanced ethanol recovery system, making it both efficient and environmentally responsible.
Located in Tromsø, Norway, 350 kilometers inside the Arctic Circle, the plant represents a significant milestone in N3Pharma’s Omega-3 production strategy. IncBio was awarded the contract following a competitive tendering process, where its advanced technology, expertise, and cost-effective solutions stood out.
