Porto, Portugal and Corinth, Greece – June 29th, 2015: IncBio, a leading Portuguese engineering company specializing in fully automated ultrasonic biodiesel plants, has successfully delivered an 8,000MT per year biodiesel plant to SPA Renewables S.A. in Corinth, Greece. This cutting-edge facility, built with IncBio’s signature ultrasonic reactor technology, is designed to produce EN14214 biodiesel from Used Cooking Oil (UCO) collected locally.

The biodiesel plant was completed ahead of schedule and is now fully operational. With its innovative design parameters — a small footprint, low cost, and high efficiency — the plant represents one of the most advanced transesterification facilities globally. It ensures optimal production performance while maintaining flexibility, allowing SPA Renewables to process UCO efficiently and sustainably.

José Marques, CEO of IncBio, stated: “We are proud to deliver yet another state-of-the-art biodiesel plant, this time in Greece. Our ultrasonic technology maximizes efficiency, reducing both methanol consumption and reaction times, and significantly improves profitability for SPA Renewables. This plant not only contributes to the country’s renewable energy goals but also supports the local economy by creating value from waste materials.”

The biodiesel produced from this plant meets the highest quality standards and is a key component in SPA Renewables’ strategy to create a sustainable business model in the renewable energy sector. With future plans to expand into higher FFA feedstocks, the plant is set to play a crucial role in advancing biofuel production in Greece.

This successful delivery marks a significant step for both IncBio and SPA Renewables, laying the foundation for potential future projects across Greece.
