Porto, Portugal – July 28th, 2015: IncBio, a leading Portuguese engineering company specializing in fully automated ultrasonic biodiesel plants, has signed an agreement to design and build a state-of-the-art pre-treatment plant for Enerfuel, part of GALP. This new facility will process Used Cooking Oil (UCO) and Category 1 animal fat, preparing them as high-quality feedstock for Enerfuel’s existing biodiesel plant.
The advanced pre-treatment plant will feature ultrasonic cavitation reactors to optimize the wet degumming process, ensuring the lowest possible contamination levels in the feedstock. This technology will allow the Enerfuel biodiesel plant to meet strict biodiesel production standards by efficiently removing impurities and contaminants.
José Marques, CEO of IncBio, commented: “This agreement with Enerfuel reinforces our position as a leader in biodiesel technology. Our ultrasonic-enhanced pre-treatment solutions provide unmatched feedstock quality, and we are proud to contribute to Enerfuel’s commitment to sustainability.”
The plant is expected to be completed and operational by May 2016.
