Porto, Portugal and Lagos, Nigeria – December 13th, 2023: IncBio, a leading Portuguese engineering company specializing in advanced biodiesel technologies, has signed a contract with Cresnior Energy International Ltd to design and build an 80,000-ton per year biodiesel plant in Nigeria. This cutting-edge facility will use IncBio’s MSA technology, enabling the plant to process any available feedstock on the market, from used cooking oil (UCO) to high free fatty acid (FFA) oils, while producing EN14214 biodiesel.
The plant is designed with a skidded construction approach, meaning the majority of the plant will be built at IncBio’s facilities, ensuring rapid on-site assembly. The modules will be transported fully built and can be easily assembled on-site using a method similar to Lego-style construction, minimizing installation time and costs.
The MSA technology incorporated in this plant uses ultrasonic cavitation reactors, ensuring the most efficient conversion rates, with peak conversion exceeding 99%. By utilizing this advanced technology, Cresnior Energy will benefit from a fully automated system that guarantees high-quality biodiesel production, while reducing methanol and catalyst consumption, leading to significant cost savings.
José Marques, CEO of IncBio, commented: “We are proud to partner with Cresnior Energy on this project. Our MSA technology and skidded design approach ensure a quick and cost-effective solution, which is essential for meeting the growing demand for biodiesel in Nigeria.”
The plant is expected to be operational in late 2025, contributing to Nigeria’s push for renewable energy and sustainable fuel production.
