Porto, Portugal – January 22nd, 2024: IncBio, a leading Portuguese engineering company specializing in advanced waste-to-energy solutions, has secured a contract to engineer and install a plastic pyrolysis plant for an undisclosed client in Portugal. The plant will have the capacity to process 20 tons of plastic waste per day, transforming it into valuable pyrolysis oil.
The primary focus of this project is to convert waste plastic, which would otherwise end up in landfills, into pyrolysis oil. This oil can be used as a feedstock for fuel production or further upgraded to produce new plastics, contributing to a circular economy and significantly reducing the environmental impact of plastic waste.
José Marques, CEO of IncBio, stated: “This project represents another important step in our commitment to providing sustainable solutions for waste management. By turning plastic waste into a valuable resource, we are helping our client make a positive environmental impact while creating new economic opportunities.”
The plant is expected to be a key player in reducing landfill waste and promoting the sustainable recycling of plastics, contributing to Portugal’s circular economy goals. Once operational, it will play a pivotal role in both waste management and sustainable energy production.
