Porto, Portugal and Willemstad, Curaçao – August 26th, 2021: IncBio, a leading Portuguese engineering company specializing in advanced biorefinery solutions, has been selected to design and build a methanol rectification column for Energis NV, part of the Clover Group, at their biodiesel facility in Curaçao.
The rectification column is designed to recover methanol mixed with water from the existing biodiesel production process, ensuring that the recovered methanol exceeds technical-grade purity. This high-quality methanol will be reused within the plant, significantly reducing operational costs. Methanol is one of the largest operating expenses in biodiesel production, second only to the feedstock itself.
