Porto, Portugal – August 2nd, 2021: IncBio, a leading Portuguese engineering company specializing in advanced biorefinery technologies, has signed a contract with BGW BioGreen Woods to engineer, build, and install a state-of-the-art multi distillation liquid refinery at their bio-refinery facility in Portugal. This refinery will feature eight distillation columns, designed to produce high-quality Liquid Smoke, Wood Vinegar, Methanol, Acetic Acid, and Furfural, supporting BGW’s mission of sustainable and innovative chemical production.
While IncBio is not involved in the pyrolysis or biochar production aspects of the project, the focus is on efficiently refining liquid by-products derived from biomass. This project emphasizes environmental sustainability, ensuring that the significant water content, which is contaminated with various components, will be fully cleaned and decontaminated. The treated water will be safe for discharge, without the need for further treatment, reinforcing the plant’s eco-friendly design.
