Porto, Portugal and Malpica de Tajo, Spain – March 16th, 2018: IncBio is pleased to announce the signing of a contract with Biologia Natural Industrial SL to design and build a 600 kg per hour plant in Malpica de Tajo, Spain, for the extraction of high-value components from vegetable acid oil. This facility will focus on the production of tocopherol (Vitamin E), squalene, and sterols.

Building on IncBio’s expertise in the biodiesel sector, the plant will utilize a multi-stage process, including acid esterification and transesterification, to convert fatty acids and triglycerides into methyl esters. This step ensures the optimal separation of valuable components in a high-vacuum wiped film evaporator, minimizing degradation and preserving the quality of the extracts.

The final step in the process will feature a multi-crystallization system, which guarantees the highest purity for each component, ensuring maximum profitability. While the plant’s capacity has been adjusted to 600 kg per hour, it will continue to set a new standard in efficiency and quality in the extraction of tocopherol, squalene, and sterols.

José Marques, CEO of IncBio, commented: “Following the MOU previously signed with Vitae Palm SL, we are thrilled to move forward with Biologia Natural Industrial SL to bring this innovative plant to life. By incorporating our advanced technologies, we aim to deliver a facility that will maximize both yield and profitability for high-value nutraceutical components.”
